 Here are the ingredients for Chana Masala (Instant Pot):

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups dried chickpeas (soaked overnight) or 2 cans (15 oz each) cooked chickpeas, drained
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable or mustard oil)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed or ½ cup canned tomato puree
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, chopped (optional)

Spices:
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon chana masala powder (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon amchur (dry mango powder) or lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

Other Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water (for pressure cooking)
  • ¼ cup cilantro leaves, chopped (for garnish)
  • ½ teaspoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves) (optional)
